Antonio Sa

Antonio has worked in the financial industry for over 38 years, having engaged in various activities within the sector. In 1995, he decided to specialize in providing wealth management services for high-net-worth investors, a role he continues to perform to this day.

After working in Brazil at institutions such as Chase, ABN Amro, Banco Nacional, and Citibank, he emigrated to the USA to gain international experience in the Wealth Management industry. During his 10 years in the USA, he held significant positions at Bank Boston, UBS, and Banco Itaú. In 2009, he joined the Royal Bank of Canada based in Montevideo. 

The decision to become independent came in 2013 when the Royal Bank decided to close its operations in Latin America. Antonio then transitioned his business to a direct single-fee based model, moving away from the prevalent commission-based system used by banks, where clients often do not know how much and for what they are paying. 

Meanwhile, only now, the industry in Brazil is beginning to shift towards a more transparent model. Believing that transparency is a fundamental attribute for establishing trust-based relationships, Antonio founded Transparenza Advisors, and has been gradually inviting distinguished market professionals to join the project.
